Custom — Wax method (4 steps)

A candlelit dinner or a birthday party gone sideways can leave wax in your carpet. Don’t panic — you can undo this unsettling stain with these steps.

Steps

  1. Scrape off the excess wax.
  2. Lay a piece of brown paper over the spot.
  3. Run a warm iron over the paper until the remaining wax melts into it. Make sure the paper fully covers the stained area, and never let the iron touch the carpet itself or you may melt the fibers.
  4. Shift the paper or flip it to a clean section, and repeat until all the wax has been absorbed.
