Custom — Vacuum & powder (8 steps)Sidewalk chalk is a great outdoor pastime for the whole family, but it leaves behind a dusty mess. Use these steps to remove chalk residue from your floors.
Steps
- Vacuum up as much as you can.
- Loosen whatever’s left by tapping the spot with a scrub brush or toothbrush. Tap — don’t scrub.
- Vacuum again.
- Apply a dry powder cleaner (see Cleaning Solutions).
- Tap with a brush to press the powder down into the carpet pile. Don’t scrub.
- Let the powder sit for an hour.
- Vacuum.
- If needed, repeat the dry powder treatment.
