Procedure B — Organic / Dye (10 steps)When you’re sick, the last thing you want to think about is the mess. These steps will get your carpet clean so you can focus on getting better.
Procedure B — Organic / Dye (10 steps)
- Scrape or blot up any excess.
- Sprinkle dry baking soda over the stain.
- Scrape it up and vacuum.
- Rinse away remaining baking soda with a damp sponge and water. Don’t over-wet.
- Blot — don’t rub.
- Apply pre-soak solution (see Cleaning Solutions) with a damp towel.
- Rinse with water the same way as step 4.
- Blot until fairly dry.
- Sprinkle on dry powder cleaner (see Cleaning Solutions).
- Vacuum.
Important:Not every carpet fiber responds the same way to stain treatments. Before trying any of the methods above, check with your fiber manufacturer for their recommended care guidelines — skipping this step could void your warranty. For more information, contact your local First Floors store.
